Two Sisters. One Mission.

Two Sisters. One Mission.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned through our work, it’s this:

Healing is rarely just physical. And it’s rarely just emotional.

Sometimes the anxiety isn’t only anxiety.

Sometimes the exhaustion isn’t only exhaustion.

Sometimes there are hormones involved.

Sometimes there is grief.

Sometimes there is trauma.

Sometimes there is chronic stress.

Sometimes there is a nervous system that has been stuck in survival mode for far too long.

As sisters, we approach healing from different angles—one through hormone health and functional medicine, the other through emotional wellness, faith, and trauma-informed education.

We attend different churches—True North Church in Fargo and Restoration Church in Glenwood—but we share the same belief:

God cares about the whole person.

Your body matters.
Your mind matters.
Your relationships matter.
Your spirit matters.

Healing isn't about chasing perfection.

It's about pursuing truth.

Read our newest blog as we explore whole-person health, faith, healing, and why God often uses many different tools to bring restoration.

Sometimes Trauma Looks Like “I Turned Out Fine”

Sometimes Trauma Looks Like “I Turned Out Fine”

“Well, I turned out fine.”

Most of us have heard someone say it. Many of us have said it ourselves.

Sometimes it is spoken with pride. Sometimes with humor. Sometimes as a way to defend the way things were done when we were growing up.

But what if “I turned out fine” isn’t always the end of the story?

What if surviving something and healing from it are not the same thing?

Trauma doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like never feeling safe enough to express emotions. Sometimes it looks like believing your worth depends on your performance. Sometimes it looks like becoming the child who learned that everyone else’s feelings mattered more than your own.

The human brain is incredibly adaptive. The strategies that helped us survive childhood often follow us into adulthood—long after we need them.

You can be successful, responsible, dependable, and respected while still carrying wounds you never learned to name.

Maybe the question isn't, “Did I turn out fine?”

Maybe the better question is:

Are there parts of me that still deserve healing?

Rooted in Creation: What History, Nature, and Faith Teach Us About Emotional Wellness

Maybe emotional healing is not always about adding more noise.

Maybe sometimes it looks like:

Going outside.
Taking a walk.
Watching your children play in the grass.
Sitting quietly with coffee and prayer.
Opening your Bible under the sunrise.
Going to church.
Calling someone safe.
Remembering that you are human - and deeply loved by God.

The world constantly pulls our attention outward.

But creation often pulls our attention upward.

What Vivo Gets Right About Childhood Grief

Vivo beautifully shows that grief in children does not always look quiet or obvious. Sometimes it looks like energy, humor, adventure, frustration, or trying very hard not to feel alone. Through Vivo and Gabby, we see two grieving hearts slowly helping each other heal - reminding us that safe connection, love, and purpose can help children move through loss without carrying it alone.

How to Help Children Handle Big Feelings in Safe, Faith-Based Ways

Big feelings can feel overwhelming for children — and for the adults caring for them.
